Rational

Summary

Sunbathing is calm and relaxing. I wanted to get the message across that Wellington is not always busy busy busy. I used three different Bays/Beaches (Oriental Bay, Lyall Bay, Scorching Bay) around Wellington that I found each very different to one another. I used intersecting lines through all my designs to get across the effect of the sun glares. I used many different types of blues and reds to get across the beach feeling, and the feeling of the sun. I used different backgrounds on my spreads to help get the feeling of each Bay. Like Oriental Bay is quite urban, Lyall Bay is quite a surfers beach, and Scorching Bay is very relaxing and calm.

Again just playing around with text and symbols. Also the colour and intensity of the background.

Mainly just playing around with text and how it all relates together. In the end I bounced up the text and my symbols to make it look more crowded like how it is in the city.

After many discussions about my cover page, I'm finally happy with it.

I tried to use my text as the white lines that intersect through my designs to try and keep my 'style' going.
